"This classic 1980's Univega Superstrada was the one the most innovative bicycles of its day. This bicycle is also unique because it was made in Japan. The tires are the classic foam filled version. The pedals take a special adapter for your shoes. This bike is in great condition. "

I especially like that it is unique because it was made in Japan and the foam filled tires

Speaking of moderately funny.......if I may.

I just saw this ebay ad for a biopace set/crank. Look under the pic and point on the green notice:

Yeah, well I'm guessing it's because the Biopace letters are gold inlay.

Some mother's polish would clean that up, but the price really isn't what caught my attention. I was prowling for biopace rings for 110bcd and the green notice caught me a bit off guard. Reminded me of this thread since I'd just seen it before I'd began ebay hunting. A little chuckle, anyway....hehe.

I am trying to buy the bike mentioned in the original post here. Funny or not it looks like a nice bike at a good price...and my size! Thanks for the lead, mudu!

No problem. I agree that it looks like a nice bike and if it were my size I would have probably bought it already. I just found the add amusing.

But to be fair, the reversed image does look better for whatever reason. Maybe it's just that I saw the reverse first.

Yeesh. Anybody that cranky (bad pun, I know) I would not buy from on principle. That is too many disclaimers. How likely is it that you're going to have a smooth transaction? Then add on the misspelling, poor presentation and overcharging and there's not much to love.
