Gusts up to 58.8mph (95kph) recorded at the university's weather station so far this morning. It won't surprise me to see dogs, cats or small children fly past my window today.
I guess there are some days when cold & rainy doesn't sound so bad...

A week ago ranchers and farmers were complaining there was not enough snow or rain and in big trouble with possible droughts. We had 70F weather,MUP's were busy again with bikes and people. The street sweepers had been out cleaning up winter sand/gravel/salt off the roads(no more flats from sharp little rocks). Today i wake up to a near blizzard, wind gusts up to 60MPH,30F. Im sure they will be putting more sand/salt down.

Whoa!
Now if you plan your route really carefully you can set it up so the tailwind is pushing you up hill and the headwind is downhill. Wear your goggles...

I got caught in the hills a few years ago in ~30mph gusts. Going uphill at 14mph was fun; getting blown side-to-side with cars whooshing by a foot off my left elbow was not.
Hey ddez, maybe you're getting all your nasty weather out of the way at once? (...yeah, I know, dream on.)

thank goodness my errands kept my route mostly north/south by time i turned to go west around 3 winds were too bad

Guess we were lucky in the Fort -- nothing over 60mph all day. My guess is Lyons has venturi effect working against it.
