I'm in Seattle visiting too. Seems like a nice place to bike on a road bike... Downtown Seattle is filled with hills. I've seen maybe two fixed gears in the 7 days that I've been here. Maybe you can go somewhere a little flat but if you want some nice scenery you can ride around Mt. Rainier. I saw a couple of road bikers. Also, you can go around to Alki Beach. Its flat there but the trail only goes on for about 3-5 miles.

A popular ride is the loop around Mercer Island. You can take the I-90 trail to Mercer Island and then go either right or left for the loop. I prefer right (counter clockwise) but many people do it the other way around. At any rate, the loop is a little over 13 miles, ten of which are unpunctuated by stop signs/traffic lights.

i echo the mercer loop idea. did it fixed with three other fixed friends last wednesday, we did it FAST.

we'll play a game. i post a picture, you tell me where it is.
and if you don't like that game, well... i have a feeling i'm not supposed to talk about tomorrow night.

yup. someone tagged it with that gold paint like a month ago and it's kinda cool when you go through it it gets all bright but if you look at it from inside the tunnel it's not reflecting any light.
