On my conversion I run a BMW QBUT53x Quad butted unobtanium post with carbon nanotube internal dampening.

I've got the Nitto Jaguar seatpost. It's money. I'm hoping to get a Thompson for the murdered out Super Pista that I hope to get soon.

also have the velo orange seatpost. that isnt bad either.
i could be totally wrong but seatposts seem to be one of the more forgiving components in terms of quality.....meaning, getting a cheapo seatpost isn't as detrimental as getting a cheapo saddle or cheapo peddles or cheapo bottom bracket....same with headsets. once again i could be totally wrong.
i still rock a used miche supertype on my "pretty looking fixed gear street" bike lol....
does that make me a superficial jerk if i were to say i bought it for mostly the looks? (haha no need to answer that)

There is a Thompson on three of my bikes, but a carbon FSA on the Tarmac that I find is quite comfy and super light, and the stock Tarmac carbon post is on the 'Dale.

have a thomson elite setback. it's really light, but i don't really care, and i need something with more setback so i'm looking at the grand cru.
I also want a wound up seatpost something bad, so pissed i missed one on ebay that sold for like 40 dollars (btw if the guy that bought that sees this, i'll pay you some extra for it )
