Years ago I took that exact bus for a short while . . until I realized that walking was faster, and safer!

Buses suck in Sacramento too. Years ago I beat the bus on my adult trike from 44th Street and 44th Avenue in South Sacramento all the way down Martin Luther King Jr Blvd to Broadway, a distance of about 3.5 to 4 miles. This was on residential streets, not heavily congested downtown ones.

I was around 200 pounds too, so almost 50 pounds heavier than I am now.

In Toronto, it would be quicker. It's not that the bus is slow, it's because you have to wait forever for the bus to turn up. It's gotten to be so bad on some bus routes that people around here refer to the TTC (Toronto Transit Authority) as TAKE THE CAR.
