Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Might as well go with some v-brakes on the on one, already got flat bars and v-brake levers, why not upgrade to better stopping power.

Sick bike. Does it see any off road time? If so, what kind of trails are you riding it on?

Thanks - the levers are actually short pull, so they won't work with v-brakes. I've been happy with the cantis. I already have an FS for technical singletrack, so I'm limiting this one for the fireroads, flatter trails and street - more of an all-purpose ride. For that it's been pretty awesome.

Please enlighten me... Are those velocity wheels? Do they have braking surface? If not, how does that work?

Why? To make that perfect bike uncomfortable and stupid looking?
