Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was looking at the islands in the earth view and noticed all the dark green squares in the water. Any idea what they are?

The buds are just starting to open up on the trees here in Syracuse, NY. It takes a long time for 180" of snow to melt...

That's just over a week ago, maybe 1,500 feet elevation, so it's a tad cooler than sea level. But still, upstate NY will be nowhere near Tenn. in climate. Even south Jersey is radically different than upstate NY.

At a guess, those are were they have been dredging material from the sea floor to build the wall.

I am very jealous of some of these pics/rides you guys get to enjoy. Mostly, I envy you that have the places that seem so desolate and are relatively flat. My ideal ride is a nice and flat 50 miler with some rolling hills and as few cars as possible.
