rubber is worn out on my clipless shoe
the rubber chunk on my dmt radial shoe is basically gone and i'm wearing the carbon. this doesn't look like the easily replaceable kind. what's the best way to fix this? shoe goo? rubber cement?

Modeling glue should work good. The way I pedal, I get my momentum, then I click in. I glued rubber patches from a tire tube to the carbon soles of my shoes and they work great. Had these for 2 years now and modelers glue worked great on them.

Shoo Goo is where it's at! My Sidi MTB shoes wore down enough in front that my cleat was constantly grinding on the ground, so I went around the outside of the tread with masking tape to create a sort of mold and added about 1/8" of Shoe Goo. I let it sit for a day or so and then it stayed on and did its job for the next six months or so. When it finally came off/wore off, I did it again.
EDIT: It also improved grip over how the shoes were even when brand new. Far less slipping on stone steps, etc.
