i was really excited about the ramp. i thought i would be able to just start in my biggest gear and get up to speed really easily, but their was a really hard right hand turn maybe 100 feet after the ramp.

yeah i was just waiting for someone to say something about my number. i'm still relatively new to this so i'm learning (very slowly). i did help another guy spray his second number on (he did the cat 1 and master's race). i should have asked to borrow it for my race.

Love the Slice. Curious about your power problems. Were you too scrunched up and therefore getting a drop in expected power? Personally, I found that an extreme upturn in my aerobars was sapping power. I went to the upturn to close the gap between head and hands, but was shocked at how much more comfortable I was when I brought the aerobars back down to a more level position.
My issue seems to be that my knee is so far in front of the spindle that I can't engage anything other than my quads so my legs fatigue. My ftp is more like my CP90 power in that position.

yeah, and i probably should have just taken my water bottle and bottle cage off. the bottle was empty too, i just didn't realize that i had it till it was too late. i really need to go ask the two local tt gods all their secrets. im slowly getting a few secrets every time i talk to either one of them.

really? i know there was a study about bottles being faster, but i think it was on round tube bikes not a tt frame. i really wish i could justify going to the tunnel, not just because i want to improve my position but more because im such a geek and would love learning about aerodynamics.

The downtube looks to say cervelo?
Clearly that's not possible since it's not plastered all over the bike lol.

I'm not sure. That does not look like a Cervelo seat post.

This is my budget TT bike. For the amount of TTing I do, it gets the job done...
Maybe when I upgrade to cat2 I'll treat myself to something nicer.

figured i'd upload my offering. it's been a while since i weighed it, but i believe it was right at 18 pounds. not bad considering that is with disc, 808 front, and power meter. i didn't make any particular efforts for it to be light (and i don't believe for most of the TTs i'll do that a slightly lighter or heavier bike will be material).

let's talk saddles for a brief moment.. I've logged more hours on my TT bike in the last 10 days than I have in the previous 3 months combined, and now my junk is starting to feel like it's been the victim of a cheese grater. Obviously, my saddle choice for my road bike (toupe) isn't working very well.
Is anyone running anything like an adamo, cobb, etc, and would you care to comment on it?

Try an SMP as well.
Actually, I think I have a spare if you want to give 'er a go.

having used both Adamos & SMPs (and swearing by SMPs on all my road bikes)... I don't think the SMP is as good a choice for a TT bike.
At least in my TT position, the pelvic rotation is significant enough that the SMP's curve/bump at the front of the saddle isn't in the right place anymore.
I'd say a Tri Stryke is a great place to start. cheap, good, lots of people can make it work.
An Adamo is a great choice, as at Selle Italia T1s, or Arione Tri saddles.
As always, YMMV, but I'd try a Tri Stryke first (should be able to get a used one for almost nothing in the usual Tri classifieds), Adamo (lots of used ones available now-a-days), or misc other stuff.
luckily for the rest of us, triathletes are total gear hounds and sell lots of stuff used every year :-)
