I'd be interested but not at this time. Perhaps next year.

SOB! I just bought a set last week! They haven't made them yet, I wonder if they would be able to refund and then include me in the deal? Please give me your name and info for the group deal so I can get in touch with Boyd.

I completely understand, and that's why i pushed for all of the payment contacting will be done by the Boyd company. I know if it were me, I would be hard pressed to send or even consider spending hundreds of dollars with some one who i didn't "know". So my role in all this is putting together a spreadsheet with email addresses and names and sets.

Hey all,
Sorry for this misinformation out there. The program for the five wheelsets is supposed to be a team program where we get five or more people from the same team on the wheels. With that, then we can offer the 20% discount if the order is placed at the same time. We do this because we believe that seeing five people roll by on the same kit and same wheels is better advertising than seeing an ad flash by on Velonews.
This is not the same as the group buy program offered by some companies. It would be extremely hard for us to take sales from all over the country and apply the discount to them.
Sorry for any information that is wrong about this, but you would have to be on the same team to receive a discount.

Boyd sells great wheels at very competitive prices. You are getting an extremely good deal at his regular prices (mine arrived yesterday).
Of course, everyone wants a "sale" and a purchase at below market prices but there isn't a free lunch. A high end set of 58 mm Carbon clinchers at $1050 (with CX Rays, etc.) is an excellent price. Look up the prices of Zipp wheels (ie. Zipp 404's for $2700 or so) and compare. You shouldn't be disappointed that you can't get them for $840. That isn't realistic.

Totally agree with jrobe, i've been riding my 50mm carbon clinchers since May and they've been excellent wheels. Perform very well and look awesome on my bike.
