Moving from fixed gear to road bike, need help

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Moving from fixed gear to road bike, need help

So I have been riding fixed fears in some for
for about 5 years. I love them, but I just moved to Seattle and its not practical for up here, and I'm not as young as I used to be either.

So I'm looking to getting a decent road bike for general riding as well as commuting. I would like to be able to go 60 miles plus but mostly for around town.

I don't know a lot about Road bikes and what brands to trust, I'm looking to spend under $1000. Right now ive been looking at Fuji and Masi.

Any help would be great. Thank you!

I'm sure all the hipsters in Seattle would argue against your statement that "it's not practical for up here".

Anyways, I think you should buy a Trek.

Competitive Cyclist are having a sale again on BMC and its one of those deals thats really hard to pass.

Assuming you know your size and everything, otherwise, buy from your lbs to get a proper fitment.

Fuji and Masi are excellent bikes, just make sure they fit properly and you should be golden. And if you do know the bike size you need, that BMC from Competitive Cyclist is another excellent bike.

Double Fail.
Rather ride Fixie than a Dreck.

It is hard to find better than this deal.
