Ham, I appreciate it. I'm not usually the type to jump blindly. It's happened before, to mixed results. With something like this though, there's no way I would.
JD, you're a restaurant owner?
Also, remember that what I'm shooting for is more "21+ venue that serves food" than "restaurant that has music".

What kind of food do you plan on serving? Just curious.
Today I ran into what I considered to be my first real road rage incident. I was riding at a pretty decent pace and then notice there was a Blazer with its bumper like a foot from my back tire. I swerve left and just start yelling **** like "why are you so close to me" etc. He swerves over and the tail end of his SUV smoked my bars going at least 20-25mph. I got really squirrely and somehow kept it together. Then I saw him stopped at a light. I roll up to him and apologized about yelling, and then explained very calmly that he could've killed me. He starts apologizing, saying he was having a ****ty day of work and other things. Shook hands and I was on my way.
Sure, I could've rolled up and busted his window with a ulock or pulled him out and beat the poor dude to death, but I didn't. I figured next time he rolls up to a cyclist he might cool his jets a little, which would be best for all of us.

That situation had potential to go very badly. I'm glad it worked out though.

today some bro ran a redlight and almost took me with him. I think riding brakeless is a reason why I'm alive, because you definitely are much more aware of your surroundings when riding that way. I noticed it just turned green for me when I was approaching a light and glanced over as I would and saw a car still hauling ass. I was able to unclip and drag my foot in time to stop. he STILL didn't see me (was looking the other way). I stopped and put my hands in WTF mode in the air. decided to cut the ride short then. wet roads + 2am was a shaky combo already

Today I won a new snowboard! A market around here had a info-in-box raffle last semester, and today I got the call telling me I won. I'm super stoked because I never win anything.

Today I am playing the first set I've played in two years (bass). I still have no song list and we will be practicing for an hour right before going live. Yikes.

Today I spent my first hour at work uploading logos for our bike gang website. tinyfixbikegang.com, people!
Probably will be putting more finishing touches on it over the next couple days, but I'm too excited to wait any longer.

car dodger
Today on my commute in I spied what appeared to be a ~42" flat screen tv laying up on the shoulder of the road, no box or wires, just the tv. Then when I hit the greenway I saw a fuji tig welded "sx 600" mtn. bike just off the path, partially covered up with leaves. Didn't have time to check either out (other than the bike brand)...will investigate further on this afternoon's return trip.

can anyone recommend a relatively cheap set of compact road bars besides the deda rhm02 and the 3T Ergonova Pro? I was looking at the FSA wing pro compact, then noticed at the 11th hour from a review CC did that the top 'flat' area is only 30cm before the curve (the dedas are almost 37ish)

Apparently, 4chan id'd all of the attackers and at least one has been arrested.

I think that's basically been the story of the human race since its beginning.

I had to delete the video posted, the graphic violence goes against forum guidelines.

Painfully average.

A little sad that I couldn't share that video because it's against the forum guidelines, but to continue it's discussion, I believe all the attackers have been identified, five or six have been arrested, and two are still being searched for (probably found by now, kids aren't that smart.)
