Solé Bicycles Co?

Longtime lurker here. In the process of shopping for my 1st fg/ss.

I'm a somewhat tall guy @ 6'1 and this will be my 1st bike in 15 yrs. I live on the top of a hill so I plan on riding single speed for now until I get a handle on things like the hill and the traffic,

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone was familiar with these bikes or if they look like they may be a good option?

- Thanks!

looks like it's a stretch to call any of those "best sellers"

if you want a bike don't get one of these. if for nothing else, the ****ing M83 soundtrack is killing me. playyyyyyyyed outtttttt

same **** can be had on ebay for less. better **** can be had on ebay for the same price. they basically tell what color they want taiwan to paint it and then you get a bike that has more attention paid to the logo design than the bike design. any sloping tt bike will 'fit' you as well as these bike's limited sizing options will. 6'1" isn't really anything to size you from, use https://www.competitivecyclist.com/za...LCULATOR_INTRO
to fit with your dimensions and look for the french fit since you're not going to be comfortable in traffic with a pro aero tuck riding position just yet.

honestly i would just get a visp complete bike. it's the same damn quality for less. or if you really like those bikes go for it just don't be sold by their loud kiddy music and clean website design- their bikes aren't high quality and they're not really much of a bargain.

I chuckled at this quote:

We love the idea of commuting by cycle, staying healthy and using our cars less, in combination of the rad fixie culture.

It sort of looks like all of the company’s different models are really the same bike with different paint jobs.

Also, I’m bothered that they seem to be selling bikes with a convertible (flip-flop) rear hub with only a front brake. While my fixed wheel bike has no rear brake, I would never consider not having a rear brake on any of my free-wheel bikes.

The company was started by two USC students. Nothing like a left coast education to launch the next generation of American entrepreneurs.

When you are not riding your magic carpet, the RICHBABA is a wonderful alternative.

the bike descriptions are great.

Actually, negative fork rake makes a bike ultra stable at supersonic speeds.

I doubt anyone riding one of those hi-ten monsters is going very fast. In the first video on their page, holmes is using clips with no straps.

Also, anyone asking me to join their "movement" isn't getting my dollars.

LOL@ left coast. so much awesome. i am going to consider describing my address as

San Francisco, Left Coast

instead of California. and soon our state secession will follow. with portlandia and seattle on our side.

Behold: The only bike on their product page with a level saddle. Speaking of which, am I crazy, or are all 16 of their bike models the same exact bike in different colors?

I love companies that make one bike and have different model names based on the color.
