My giddy up turned into 50 minutes of pushing-through-the-pain on the computrainer. It was physically tough, but, I think it was more mentally challenging. Getting back the mindset of riding with pain, and pushing hard with it for long stretches, is hard work!!
Throw the stick!!!!
Great ride this evening. First 30 miles solo, then met up with the bike shop for a 26 mile night ride. About four hours, 2323 kj, 344.5 tss, 92.1 if.

Set a new PR 5s-30s w and within ~10w for 1min, all just on the way to work! Wattage is looking super solid for this early in the year, I haven't even done any intensity since October (Minus the FTP test Saturday).
1:45 of endurance pace. Feeling good.
I used to do heat transfer with beer. It was the only way to go. For some reason, I could sit for 3-5 hours and do it if I had a beer sitting beside me. I wasn't getting drunk. I'd maybe have 2-4 in that time period. It just always made things somehow reasonable. I ended up doing reasonable in the class, but I'm glad I don't have to do it again.

Got home yesterday. Yesterday did 1 set of right leg single leg squats, some range of motion for right arm, unweighted leg extensions for left leg, and unweighted curls with elbows tucked against rib cage for left arm. Also walked for 20' 2x with right crutch.
Today, two sets of the aforementioned therapy exercises, in addition to left leg full leg extensions and knee raises. Also added whole arm handshakes to left arm. Walked for about 20-30 minutes 4x, also did lots of standing.
I estimate 300 TSS each day. Getting better every day.

Then you must like this. My colleague at the time said "when I saw this I totally thought of you". Except I wasn't playing games, we didn't use an Exchange server, and blah blah blah blah blah.

Cracked myself hard today. 2:15 ride, one 7 mile TT followed up by a very failed attempt at a 15' interval.

Yesterday: 1:10 big gear hill work. The w/o wasn't as hard as usual. I like to think it is because I am getting stronger but the truth is probably because I had a stiff tailwind blowing me up the hill
Today: 2:00 Z2 on my slop bike. Hopefully the roads will dry up for tomorrow

2:47:30, 54.33mi, 4400ft of climbing, 19.5mph avg. Endurance pace for first 2 hours, last 47min went at breakaway pace and avg'd a smidge over 26mph in the drops.
Followed that up with squats, lunges, and step ups. Time to eat all of the things.

I can never seem to write about my training right after, only the day after.
Went out last night for some tough Build 2 type stuff. 2 x 15' over/unders (90-115%), then 2x[3x2' @ 130%] on a steep hill, then 4 big gear sprints up some 5% hills on the way home.
Took almost 3 hours. 204 TSS. Cracked out 16.44 w/kg in those sprints. Almost back to where I was last year.
Oh, I also found out that my wheel circumference was way off on my head unit. 2000 when it should've been 2108. Does that affect watts?
