How was your February?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Spent most my time on my Hybrid, but the LBS has my CAAD10 running like a well oiled sewing machine now. I'll miss February's great weather.

150 miles total, is all.

If it wasn't for that extra day my February would have sucked, but I reached puberty on the 29th, so it turned out to be a pretty good month!

~200 mi. Seems unusual for February, although even more unusually, I did more miles in January.

Ridiculously bad. "Life" got in the way. Yeah life, but boo life w/o time to ride. Thankfully Feb is somewhat shorter and March is here so I can erase the memory of last month...

Too much snow and way too cold to do any serious riding in February. I think I logged 160km total but that's more than I've ever done in the winter, so I'm happy. A lot more mileage than that on the trainer though. I envy you people in warmer climates.

Sucked. Trying to recover from a recurrence of symptoms of chondromalacia that side-lined me 21 years ago. I was doing just fine in 2011 - was back up to 40+ mile rides twice a week, with 12 mile rides on days that I worked (always with one rest day per week), and enjoyed a minimum of popping and discomfort. After four rides in January when I had some time off - lower miles, but higher intensity due to crazy strong winds - the weird achy feeling and excessive popping returned, along with a bulge behind my knee that may or may not be a Baker's cyst (I was examined by an orthopedic specialist who was not certain if it was a cyst - he put me on prescription strength Aleve for a few weeks to see if the pain lessened).

I'm just hoping I can recover and ease past the annoying knee troubles to improve this year - my goal being to work up to a local 70-mile fitness ride in the fall. It's supposed to be up to 70 degrees today, but the winds are going to be gusting at 40+ mph... doesn't make for a very enjoyable outing.

My Feb. didn't come out as well as planned due to weather and work issues. Was planning on 400+ miles but only managed 325 over 10 rides. So, average wise it was pretty decent but only 10 rides isn't that good. So far March is shaping up much better.

180 miles despite missing one of my longer weekend rides. Had a few cool days and a few windy days.

My February had a few rain days and a lot of sunny days, at least 500 miles traveled. i live in California that's probably why.

I rode to the store once, does that count?

Anyway, I'm starting to gear up for this month now that the weather's getting nicer. I'm going to be doing a few evening rides this week, then get out for a longer one this weekend, weather permitting. I was off the bike for 6 months due to a shoulder/wrist injury, so this is going to be like starting over from scratch again

I live in Canuckistan. I got 68kms in. I work lots so riding in the dark doesn't really float my boat.

Daylight savings is this weekend. Bring it.

Any February where I only have to ride the trainer twice is a good February...
