Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Lived off of Camelback in Glendale for a year back in 1996 or so. My former step brother and evil former step mother still live there; my Aunt and Uncle own a home in Cave Creek, there children own homes (two of them) in Scottsdale.

You want to scoop up some local fixed gear / single speed cyclists in your are so it would be more fitting to name the thread: "Hey any peoples in phoenix/glendale area?" smh

It doesn't matter. In about a month you won't be able to go outside without your hair catching fire.

If you want to find people in your area to ride with, a better thread title would have been something like:

Any riders in the (your city here) area?

also, check out azfixed.com

tempe here, wont be commuting to work once the temp exceeds 95F because Im a giant *****. During summer I ride almost exclusively around midnight-1am since its too damn hot.
Good luck in your venture to ride the entire summer out, be sure to carry a couple changes of clothes and plenty of water. <3
