Anybody rebuild the old Crank Brothers Eggbeater pedals?

I will call them Monday for more help.

But while were here, there is a brass bushing that is impossible so far to remove. I got a rebuild kit from Crank Brothers. The replacement part is a plastic bushing. One of my pedals fell apart so that bushing was pretty easy to replace. The others are stuck in so hard I don't see how it's possible to loosen them.

Are there such things as "old" Crank Bros pedals? I thought they only came out 2 or 3 years ago?

Time ATACs are supposed to last way longer than that, and the Crank Bros seem to be designed along similar lines.

Yeah, but they seem to need rebuilding after only a year or so.

My wife has had them on her bike and there is play after only about 14 months of use, and she's hardly a hammerhead.

Has anyone else experienced EggBeaters not holding up real well?

Hi, I rebuilt one set after the left one came apart the last 10 miles of a 450 mile tour. I cannot put all the blame on the pedal. Due to high arches, my left heel tends to swing outward, particularly when I am tiring, so I put a lot of lateral strain on the pedal. I corrected the problem with an almost knee high brace, and it has helped my riding as well as walking. I've had no problem since the rebuild, but I cannot give you any milage figures, since I rotate rides among 3 bicycles. I have eggbeaters on 2 bicycles and Speedplay zeros on my main ride.
