Almost got me a couple of them "elitists" yesterday too: coming down that bridge at a rather decent speed two young fella's in very loud ties stepped onto the cycle path right in front of us. Just missed them. Would have made for quite a colorful accident though.

Great pickup! I was an Alain Prost fan for a lot of years. Just watched the documentary Senna on Netflix the other day - very well done. Couldn't wait for the Monaco Grand Prix each year on TV when I was growing up.
Jeff - you'll have to join us for the for the Sovren vintage races at Pacific Raceways this summer. They've had a 1971 Jackie Stewart F1 car there the past few years - my absolute favorite to watch the entire weekend.

I'm there regarding Pacific Raceway this summer - I remember we talked about it/looked at your pics when I was out there for the Manastash Metric. Nice to see the pics again here (that shot of the Tyrrell is awesome - and I bet it sounded great, too)
We'll talk about a date and I will plan to attend (as long as it's not the first week in July - I'll be in MN with my buddy, his family and hopefully get some riding in with the MN BFers, too).

Our Sunday Night Pub Crawl Ride didn't stop at any pubs last night. Instead, we had an Easter Egg* Hunt in a park, then converted a local warehouse into a mini-velodrome and did some racing... on kids' bikes.

today, i rode down, past green lake to the top of lake union and then on over to lake washington and took the trail all the way up to that little park at the top of the lake. and there, i sat, and ate an orange. it was pretty good.

FWIW, I love riding the BG/SRT in the spring/summer. Not this weekend (BF bike-transfer facilitation taking place on Saturday), but next one for sure, assuming this weather holds!

Got some new handlebars from craigslist: Soma Lauterwasser. Going to play around with the position of the brake levers a little bit before I tape up the handlebars.

Oh wow. Consider me officially jealous! There are two small Frank Lloyd wright homes near me, both completely hidden by trees and privately owned.... darned privacy. Does it have furniture designed by him? How original is the interior of the home?

it was so much fun to build up, i wrote a long winded build post here.

Ok, I understand. Still very cool though. I noticed it does not have gutters, which was definitely a Frank Lloyd Wright no no. It's a great looking house no matter who designed it.

Haven't ridden the bike much lately. Instead I got some gardening done in my yard. Planted some perennials Saturday,
Got them watered on Sunday
Then I got the annuals planted in the raised bed next to the house.... 1 gross (144 plants) of annuals.
