I can add a few things to the box should it grace my doorstep again
No more Raleigh bits, though.

As for myself, I just got word of my follow-on orders today. I'm headed for a ship that's forward-deployed to Bahrain in late December. I honestly dunno if that box is going to make it 'round to me before I head out!

The BoC came today! I took the obligatory "just opened" picture. Some interesting bits in here, and some real garbage. I'll find good uses for some of this stuff, throw some away, and make room for some more nice junk.
Here's the box as I opened it... a near-total mystery. There's a cool map showing the BOC's absurd trip east and then west again along a straight line...
![](https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8015/7289810878_1727ecf5e4_c.jpg)
I got some nice stuff out of the box. Cheap bar tape (black goes with any color) convinced me to get off my duff and actually re-wrap the bars on my Atala. The ugly yellow bottle cage will clash with the purple MB-2. The Victory shifters inch me closer to having a whole Victory gruppo, and the 36H freehub (w/parts missing) is going to be the start of a rear wheel to match a front I already have.

I had a lot of high quality crap to add to the box, so some of the lesser stuff needed to be purged for room. Here's the stuff that got purged. Most of it's missing hardware or has some other annoying flaw; I'll donate it to the local coop where folks with more time than I can make it work if they want to.

Soon, the BoC will be on its way to AlphaRed!

^ Sofia, I think we can get Alex (shnibop) to hold onto the BOC and send it around the 10th or so - that way it won't sit on your doorstep until you arrive back from your vacation ![Smilie](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Alex, is that cool with you?

No problem, I've already spoken with whatwolf about her trip, if it's cool with everyone I'll hold the BOC until the 10th.
AlphaRed has my shipping info already and I've got whatwolf's info.

I had an old Rand McNally kicking around so I just ripped out the US map. It will be fun to see where the box goes. I had a feeling those shifters would not make it very far. I put in the helmet pads as a goof so I'm glad someone actually can use them.
