A track crank with a 50 tooth Gipiemme chain ring...

Pondered going single speed to simple things up but the close ratio Shimano 600 block and tight gear range are pretty damn sweet.

I did worse. I bought a Faghattaboutit. It looks good sitting on the shelf in my garage, because it's way, way too heavy to make a practical bike lock. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 4.5lbs, which is more than everything else that I typically carry with me on my commute.

I only use it if I know that I might be leaving my bike on the street in a sketchy area, which isn't very often.

It'll be replaced completely by an ABUS folding lock when I can spare the cash for it.

Why don't you just try selling the lock if you're never going to use it? It doesn't make sense to buy something so expensive and then let it sit on the shelf and tell yourself you think you're going to use it.

Better let someone put good use to it than to let a good lock sit on the shelf. Go sell it on CL right now or return it.

I can't return it at this point, but you are right, I need to put it on Craigslist.

When you get your hands on that, let me know how it works.

I'm looking for something like that.

Yeah. Heard things about the PDesign Aquaracks letting the bottles fall out going over bumps (I'm sure you found that in your research as well?). Shipping on the bike shop's eBay account was $6 vs $8 on Amazon, heh (Circle City Bicycles). Just for reference.

Should be in by 7/11.

I just got my pdesign aqua rack today and my bottles fit snug. I think it depends on the size and shape of bottle you use.

Recently bought new Shimano road cleats. Ordered a Mavic wheelset off of Velomine's webstore on Tuesday, and they arrived at my door this morning.
It's black CXP22's laced to Origin8 branded Formula hubs. Velomine stated that "**The CXP22 no longer has eyelets**" But I was really surprised and excited when I saw that the set that they sent me actually had eyelets on them.

Since I can't afford a real Milwaukee frameset, I bought the decals instead

Any tips/tricks as far as making the decals last longer? I will clean and degrease the area before applying but is there a topcoat product that will increase the life of the decals? (protect from scratches)

Unless the actual bell is a Velo-orange bell and not the one you pictured, it won't work with their mount like that.

Is that a fact? Well someone better tell this guy that the bell on his stem is impossible then...

Very first review...
"If you want to put a bell on your classic steel bike, this is the one. Retro style, nice sound, easy to operate. I got the headset spacer from Velo Orange that allows you to mount this bell right next to you stem which looks fantastic and keeps it off your bars."

I asked Scrod a couple months ago.
