One time I rode close to 68 miles. Quite far. I wasn't as tired as I thought I was going to be at the end of the trip. Quite fun and refreshing. That was my best summer.

Did an unsupported century about one year ago in the 90 degree heat. I got that milestone under my belt but don't plan on doing it again any time soon. 100 miles in one day takes cycling out of the fun realm.

About 300% of what I previously thought was my limit, maybe 80% of my actual limit, and about 70% of an impressive number.

101 miles... just this month.
On a heavy bulky mountain bike that has front wheel resistance.

While long distance riding obviously involves athleticism, for those who ride with any regularity, the trick isn't so much about the added mileage, but proper eating and pacing. People who do long distances regularly get a routine down so that they stay fueled and hydrated properly and pace themselves so that they don't send their muscles into overdrive before they're warmed up. The latter is one of the reasons you'll see many Gran Fondos will have a neutral zone for the first 10-20 miles before racing really begins.

did 80 miles on the montour trail here in good old pittsburgh a few months ago. Prior to that my best day was 65 miles. I'm just a weekend warrior. With 3 kids under 3 years old, I don't get much time to ride these days. So this accomplishment, I'm very proud of!!!
here is the GPS log from that day...

the moving time and avg speed got messed up on the log some how. we averaged 10 mph on the bike computer

In one 24-hour day ... 287.3 miles (462.4 kms)
https://www.machka.net/24hour/2006_UMCA24hour.htm
As one event in what might be considered one very long day ... just over 1200K in under 90 hours including all breaks. I've done four 1200K randonnees.

97, about 30 years ago. It was so blasted hot, and the ride had been so hilly, that I refused to tool around another 3 miles for a century. Since then I don't think I've ever ridden more than 80-something in a day, and that was also back in that prehistoric era. These days, my longest was 75 miles around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for this year's Tour de Cure.
I might do a century before the year is out - maybe next month.

About 85 fully-loaded miles 31 years ago in Maryland on the way from Atlanta to New Hampshire to Milwaukee with the wife.
Quite a few half centuries and metric centuries in recent years but no serious distance.
I rode a half mile last Saturday to watch and take photos of the Ride Across Indiana folks - they were about 80 miles into a 160 mile ride.
