Bikes: 2022 Specialized Allez Sprint custom build, 2019 Giant Defy Advanced Pro 0, 2018 Seven Mudhoney Pro custom build, 2017 Raleigh Stuntman, various others
Overrated & a waste of money :
Expensive carbon wheels of any variety
Aero frames (says the guy who rides a Scott Foil)
Any very high end or custom frame
Groups above Ultegra/Force/Athena
Bike weight below 18/19 lbs
Road tubeless
Sew ups
Expensive helmets
Expensive sunglasses
Expensive carbon bars/stems
Expensive cranksets, especially carbon cranksets
Any press-fit bottom bracket standard
Expensive retro grouch threaded headsets
Integrated seat masts
Not overrated & worth spending money on :
High end shoes that fit
Quality cycling-specific clothing
Quality tires
Good pedals
A good saddle
Ultegra/Force/Athena
