Dang... I may have to ride my Colnago again, keeping up on my 12-21 De Rosa might be tough.

Ha! Good one! I think I detected some snark in roadrunners post (20 mph average?) Snark right?

Ride the De Rosa Primato, I want to see it first hand as that model is high on my list for my next road bike. I'm also tracking a De Rosa Super Prestige at the moment.

For this weekend, I'll be riding my one and only bike, the Cresta. It's a Peterbilt 18 wheeler compared to the Ferrari's you guys will be riding!

I am nursing a minor cold today, so I stayed in and wrenched. Looks like I missed a nice ride, great views.
At least the Bianchi is finished....for now. Jeff, you'll get to see it at the shop on Wednesday.

Man, I also just caught the weather report for Saturday. Yikes! I need to see what I can wear to keep warm.

I'll bring along one of my other old rigs for show-and-tell!

I have ridden most of those hills on a singlespeed, . . . but it hurt really bad.

I've got extra cold-weather tops (one's already earmarked for WNG's use), so I'll bring them all along. I did a recon run on the way back from Bicycles of Scottsdale and figured out where 32nd and Shea is, so I'm all set.

I wonder if we should push back the start time one hour for those of you not used to low-50s weather

Had a nice visit with WNG at the shop and had intended to hit up roadrunner2012 on the way back - but my phone died and I didn't want to drop in unannounced! I'm hoping to get over there tomorrow after I get my windshield replaced (have been nursing a crack for a couple weeks now that's grown to about a foot-and-a-half).

Here's a pic of me and WNG in the shop and another with the '78 Super and '02 Davidson - Will's going to use the Colnago on the ride and we'll be holding the Lanterne Rouge

Looking forward to Saturday, guys!

I'd be OK with pushing the start time back. Maybe we start the ride at 32 Shea at noon?

Thanks, Matt - I'm looking forward to it; I hope you guys are getting some rides in, cold and wet as I would imagine them to be notwithstanding

^ A little box of a coffee shop called 32&Shea. It's on the NW corner of 32nd and Shea.

Doh! Here's a shot of us where I don't look so geeky!
To the left: That's an early 80's Bianchi sport tourer I was overhauling that afternoon. You don't see too many old bikes come in, and the customer was very happy with the results.

And one of Drillium Dude solo.

Just a bump to the top.

I may bring a non racer, non C&V friend, since others have talked about bringing others along. I do think that free drinks should be had for some hill climbs, like Hummingbird and the Desert Fairway/Las Brisas/Desert Vista climbs. Maybe even Mohave, for the rear cog deficient folk. That only needs a 21t.

Looks like I'm buying across the board

For those of you that may not have gear for the cold weather, I'll be bringing a few extra tops/jackets.

See y'all at noon!
