Great review, covered most things. Sounds like a pretty useless bike. All the trails around here only allow non-motorized traffic anyway.

Useless for you maybe but not for everybody, not everybody lives by you with the non- electric bike rules trails, I'll even go out on a limb & say most people dont ride those trails.

While the Pedego is a ready to ride unit if someone had some skills this bike with a little work would be a whole lot cheaper. https://gearjunkie.com/walmart-fat-bike

Yes I agree about the trails but the bike sounds very underpowered for almost everything unless maybe it is geared REALLY low. I am not saying electric bikes with enough power wouldn't be useful especially for someone too weak (for whatever reason) to get to some beautiful areas, I was just commenting on the review of this bike.

All the off-road trails and single tracks around here are non-motorized as well. Most high quality off-road MTB areas are that way for an educated reason.
Fat Tire ebike is a neat novelty but really doesn't make much sense at all..especially for China Brand in that price range.
Perhaps their target market is carnival workers lookin to slip and slide around fairgrounds through cow manure? Of course, that is until the bike hits one of those spritzer bottles that clowns chase each other around with. Then it's two out of true fat wheels and busted battery rack. In the end, not even the bearded lady will want anything to do with it.

Well, here's my opinion;
Its underpowered, it costs too much, its ugly and the batt pack is too weak. Besides that, its great!!!!!

Did you bother to check how old that post was, before you quoted it to start a debate? Dead thread,...unless you'd like to add to it, or ask a real question.

I did a search it came up - I read it and replied - I didn't notice the date - regardless, I feel my reply was appropriate, how can anyone make an opinion if he never even seen or rode the bike.

Two friends have been riding Pedego's cargo bike for the last two months and love it. They've used it for errands and it has substantial carrying capacity. Pedego has done well with their 500w rear hub geared motor. Three year warranty on the battery is impressive.

Boy you guys are a tough crowd. Shut up the naysayers!
I rode this bike and other Pedego products this past weekend. They are anything but "weak" as one previous poster replied.
The fat bike was well done and rode well. I rode three other fat bikes. One brand had a horrible flexible frame. One was ho-hum, and the last was my pick of the show. Pedego was a close second.
I have no doubts that they may be selling as fast as a dealer can get them.

I'm a fan of Pedego myself, and this bike is fantastic. Especially with the frame integrated battery. Beautiful bike.
