Kickstand For Rans V-Rex?
My wife has pronounced her Rans V-Rex In Need Of A Kickstand.
I protested that the cool kids don't use kickstands, that they subtract lightness, but she Doesn't Care What I Think. She even said it in capitals.
So, I need to find a kickstand for a V-Rex with 24" rear wheels. I've seen some that appear to clamp to the left rear dropout (?) which looks kind of kludgy. Any recommendations? Does anyone make a center stand?

RANS sells this for the V-Rex. Not sure about fitting it on one with 24" wheels.

Call Rans. Ask for Carl (he's a good guy). Ask what he recommends. If anybody can give you an answer off the top of their head, it will be Carl. I'd also ask if an ESGE double leg kickstand will work. It's the most stable and the least kludgy kickstand I know of because it holds the bike vertically.
I wouldn't worry too much about the 24" wheel thing. Since I own a hacksaw I can always make a shorter kickstand out of a tall one.

The one that Jan posted is the one that came with my V-Rex. It's a Greenlee kickstand with an extension tube made of aluminum. I don't know if an Esge will work since the V-Rex 'chainstays' are higher than other bikes. Be sure to protect the frame where you attach, no matter which one you get.

I have a friend that uses this on her Stratus. https://www.click-stand.com My wife uses it on her Cannondale "Quick". Very stable, light and as the website shows adaptable to many different bikes. Mike

the Rans kickstand is what is on my rex, works well and with 24" rear wheel the bike would stand just a bit more upright but should still function nicely.
When I throw a bag on the rack, it's not that visible but kickstands don't bother me, would rather have it upright than leaned against a pole or fence and scratch my windwrap.

I don't think the Esge would work. The lower tubes are too far apart near the rear wheel for the kickstand to clamp on. Further forward, the tubes are close enough, but they're too high above the ground and the legs won't reach.

Can you let me know how it works, after you've installed and used it? Thanks!
