New Tandem
I used to hang around the Clydesdale/Athena forum. I'm still riding, but haven't been around BF recently.
Yesterday I bought a used Trek T900 tandem. It's probably a 2002 model year.

My girlfriend and I already love the thing. She's not a strong cyclist, but I think this will allow us to do longer rides together.

And that's the true beauty of couples tandemming ... starting and finishing the ride TWOgether, (as Zona says), regardless of rider disparity.

Looks nice. The low standover height for the stoker is a big plus for that model.

I was off the bike for a week due to illness. I was finally feeling well enough for a short spin yesterday evening. So, yes, we grabbed the tandem for a neighborhood stroll.

My wife and I also recently bought a used Peugeot tandem so she could ride with me. She would never ride with me on her own bike, saying that I ride too fast for her. Now with the tandem, she will always be right behind me. I have some work to do to the bike over the winter, but we are looking forward to riding next spring.

We had our first two-tandem ride on Saturday. Some friends who recently got a tandem joined us for a 15-mile ride around town.
Sunday we did a 33-mile ride. That's my stoker's longest ever ride. It's my longest tandem ride... and we discovered we need different saddles on the tandem.
