opportunity to fix bikes for charity -- north coastal San Diego County
Every year San Dieguito United Methodist Church (encinitaschurch.com) has a weekend of community service, one project of which is refurbishing bicycles for the Community Resource Center to give to needy local families. As the leader of this effort for the third year running, I am posting to see whether any of you might be interested in helping out.
Date and time: Sunday 20 Oct, 0800 - 1600 (you may come and go as you wish -- no need at all to work the full shift)
Location: SDUMC, 170 Calle Magdalena, Encinitas (SE corner of Interstate 5 and Encinitas Bl.)
RSVP: PM me, if interested or want to learn more
_______
You do not have to be a member of this or any other religious organization -- this is a secular project, responding to John Wesley's call to “Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.”

Wish I were closer to your area John I see your post has a lot of views but no replies, here's hoping you'll have more than enough help for a worthwhile project.
