Hi, thanks all and I'll be sure to relay the congratulations to the Mrs.

When we first got married (23+ years ago) we would *** together and race together. My (selective?) memory is that I was always faster than she. Over the intervening years, she has gotten faster and I have gotten slower. We'll see where my ****ing stands at the end of November. I might do a ****ing race in San Francisco in January that my wife wants to do. I hope I can keep up. sarals, hope that answers your question.

Hermes, I keep telling her she should start racing bicycles; at least hill climbs and time trials. When we ride our city bikes I have trouble keeping up with her on any hill.

Cleave, it does! You're lucky that you have a competitive mate. That makes it fun! What ****ing race are you planning to do in San Francisco?

Oh - I'm ****ing well enough to where I might *** a 10K race sometime soon. I always enjoyed them, it's a good distance for me.

I just pre-ordered the The Map and the Territory by Alan Greenspan - 400 pages. Amazon warned that it may take a long time to download to my Kindle.

Kapow. Seems to be the general review tone.

Greenspan's one of those bright idealouges who's never read a history book. Start in the 1630's with tulips. He ignored a long history of bubble/crash cycles and put his faith in people like Mozilo.

Getting drunk and driving your pickup into a gas station then blaming too many traffic laws and overfunding the fire department after you've burned down the town is a bit of muddy thinking and makes me want to kick him in the nuts.

On the other hand I made a lot of money while he was Chairman. So it goes.

I'm saving my download window for when Brooksley Born writes her book.

The replacement front MTB wheel came today. We just got back from visiting my parents in their new assisted living home. Do I ride with the slightly FUBAR'ed wheel tomorrow and drink a few brews tonight or change out the wheel while having a few and trust the results tomorrow? I should never have succumbed to "tubeless".

Good luck and heal up. Mrs. Ex just did her first PT yesterday. She's chugging along.

all, Not due to a crash etc, potentially just a lot of "over use" and mis diagnosis over the years... what Dr.s are finding out now.. what used to be considered just a "deep groin pull" is actually impingement in the hip joint... I first noticed the pain after a TT and blamed it on a bad fit... and not enough riding in the TT position... used to only bother me after many miles in on the bike.. or climbing... I had cortisone shots.. PT ect.. finally convinced the Army dr's to do an MRI with contrast and found the impingement and labrum tear and some arthritic changes... If you follow baseball... here's a write up on similar issue that I have.. https://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...3/08/arod.hip/ Good news is... I can get on the bike, NO resistance post op day 1 :-)

Okay, all of you Prius drivers. I just bought a 2011 Prius Three. I've heard "it's amazing how much stuff you can fit in a Prius" mentioned here. I hope so! How do you get a bike(s) in there? I usually put one across the back seat, in the foot wells (in my Subaru and Hyundai that worked) and others on a Yakima roof rack. I hope I can do the same with the Prius, and because I saved my Yakima rack, I can use it when needed. I had to get rid of the Forester, it was killing me on gas. This should be much, much better.
