Halloween Candy - Now what?

So, we all have big buckets of candy laying around this morning. What do you do with it?

I'll admit, I voted eat it for me. Though we go through and throw away the stuff we don't REALLY like, so what we do eat was ALMOST worth it.

Get the stuff you don't like. Red Vines and Circus Peanuts work for me. Start handing out Circus Peanuts and your house will become one of the unpopular ones and you can forget Halloween altogether.

https://www.amazon.com/Island-Snacks-...circus+peanuts

To bad they don't come in trick or treat size packages.

Last night, we tied are all time record for number of trick or treaters for the 8th year running. Zero. Not one gram of Halloween candy has crossed the threshold, so I don't get to vote in the poll.

I took the kids trick or treating last night and my son cleaned up. My daughter went with some friends and she's mad because she "hardly got anything" so she wants my son to share. I doubt I will get ANY of that - unless it's something they hate, and there's a narrow window between what they'll hate and what I'll tolerate so I'm probably safe.

We get zero kids coming to our house so we don't have the issue of having 400# of chocolate laying around.

Did you guys see that note from Fargo? That lady is asking for eggs. https://blogs.ajc.com/news-to-me/2013...his-halloween/

Anyway, you can resort to passing out little bags of pretzels if you want. My kids seemed to get a bunch of those this year.

We have two unopened bags that are going to be returned to store! We get tons of trick or treaters normally but last night seemed low...we had several houses on our cul-de-sac dark due to people not home.

I avoided all candy this halloween . . . my wife quickly hid the remainder . . . good thing, last year, I ate a whole bowl, before, during, and after trick or treaters . . . one for you, two for me, . . . really, I had no appetite for the stuff this year. I swear if I ate one, I would eat the whole bowl. I truly "can't eat just one" . . . . Oh, and if I see any of the stuff at work . . . it's goin in the can! secretly.

This morning a woman in our office lamented out loud about someone brining in candy. She then proceeded to eat some.

We didn't buy candy this yr, took our lil 10month old to the local church where they turn the parking lot into a giant event. Scored half a plastic pumpkin's worth of candy so that should last me til new yrs or so.

This is what I do with any extra sweets that that end up at our house. Like throwing raw meat to a pack of wolves.

Our church normally puts on one of these, too. Our "band" has played at it several times. Church is doing some major construction so we had to cancel it this year. Too bad. Lots of sad goblins running around.

Yes, yes she is.

I voted to leave it out. I don't really like candy all that much anymore. I got a neat tip from a doctor during a physical for new job in regards to birthday cakes (it birthday season in my house...it started in September and ends in December), eat some just on that day to celebrate and then that's it.

just eat it yourself. let it be motivation to go out and ride and extra 20 miles this week.

the sooner you eat it all the less it will tempt you.
