Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Thanks man! I wasn't crazy about the Tektro lever on this build so I swapped in a set of older Shimano 600 earo levers. I'm wrapping the bars in cranberry colored cloth tape tomorrow. Should look nice when it's done.

I left the brake cables a little long so I can fit some luggage up front for my trip next week. They'll probably be trimmed when I get back.

.

Upgraded my chainring to a Sugino Messenger, chain to a KMC D101 and got some Leader Uptown Risers for when I don't want to use my Deda compact drops

My commuter, had it previously built up with SRAM Force but didnt need all those gears for my commute, and i already had a roadie.

1994 Cannondale 2.8 / Zipp laced to DT240s / Miche Advanced Cranks / Thomson / Chris King / Carbon Arione / SRAM S900 levers and Apex brakes

Whilst i agree Force on the cannondale is awesome, i was over having a second road bike that didnt get used

I love the frame, but one gear is sufficient, hence the conversion.
