Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Who else hates front brakes, I don't like them cause I always end up accidentally slamming on it in an emergency and get myself more hurt than just riding through it?
Some people like them though.
If anyone has seen premium rush they know that front brakes are death.

Some people feel better with a front brake. I ride brakeless but I don't give **** to people who do run a front brake. They're smarter than me for it. You have to run the brake pretty soft, so even if you squeeze the lever real hard it doesn't toss you over the bars - just helps slow you down a little quicker.

I assume this is tongue-in-cheek.

70% of your potential braking power, if F&R are mounted comes from the front.
Much more if a FG only sports the Fr.

Attempting "just ride through" a suddenly stopped pickup truck may not end so well.
