80's Kuwahara adventure
.Just picked it up. Very clean. don't know much about tandems. Wish i could post better pictures. I'm new to the forum and still figuring how to navigate it. can anyone tell me about the bike and possibly what it's worth?
Made in Osaka Japan.
4130 Chomoly tubing.
Arai drum brake.
Ukai 27 in. wheels w/ sansin seal bearing hubs.
Nitto Olypiade handle bars.
Technomic stems.
Selle italia saddles.
Diacomp drikked brake levers.
Suntor handle bar end shifters.
NG0982 brakes?
Sunigo GP cranks.
18 speed.
Sunotur SC sport derailuers.

The date the frame was manufactured is in the Kuwahara serial number. The first 2 digits are the year, the next 1 or 2 digits represent the month, the last 5 digits are a sequential number.
The serial number is located on the lower seat tube non-deralleur side or a bottom bracket shell.
Not everyone is looking to buy a tandem, so you may need some patients when trying to sell. My guess for a price is $500 -$800

I would agree on price this is one really nice Tandem $500-800 on price. Kuwahara frames where all good to excpetional during the 80's. But even though highest quaility there aren't many people looking for pink tandems made by Kuwahara. So expect this one to take a long time to sell.

If I had the funds I would be all over that. I have a love of Kuwahara bikes since getting my first Kuwahara road bike. It rides so well and smooth, and when I ride in Ashburn, people ask me how I change gears because no one knows what DT shifters are.
