thanks guys, I'm excited to get out of the 3's and into some more challenging racing. collegiate A's are very difficult, but it's still not the same as a p12 field. hopefully i can get my eye problems sorted out before my next race in 2 weeks

It's raining pretty hard here right now, can't remember the last time we had actual rain. My job sucks more when it rains.

The weatherpeople here should have a code like, 'guys, really I'm serious this time' or 'This isn't a lie'.

Went to work, got called into the conference room, came out packed up my stuff and left. It's been coming for almost the whole time I've been there (over a year), and I've been close to walking out many times. Started sending out resumes a few weeks ago. Lost it and called my boss' very annoying buddy/manager a dick last week when he was being a dick. He admitted it and said it's just his personality.
Now I get 2 weeks pay to ride my bike...

Impressed with you guys making the move work wise. I'm a lifer at my place. Never thought that would be the case, but sometimes circumstances work against, or maybe with you, and next thing you know you are on year 25. Can't do the long term marriage thing, but seem to have the loyal employee thing down pat.

I spent 10, 6.5, and 5 years at different companies so it's not like I'm a corporate climber. We've moved a lot so it was expected. Right now I am looking forward to consulting and getting paid for every hour I work.

Damn, I wish coaching gymnastics paid more. I make $17.50/hr doing that, but even if I could work full time it's half what I was making.
I interviewed at a very small structural engineering company. They pay minimum wage plus 30% of every job I would do. They told me one slow guy only made $24,000 his first year but another guy made $200,000 in one year. Idk if it's worth the risk.
Of course in a perfect world we would all be paid to ride bikes haha

I hope it doesnt rain for my Sunday race. I don't trust people in Cali to ride in the rain, let alone race.

dude I've ridden and raced in the rain numerous times in Ohio. I can't count the number of days it started pouring on me in the middle of a training ride...
Theres a reason why I moved, GARBAGE weather!
People in California freak out and don't ride if theres even a 20% chance of rain. The last thing I want to do is end up in a race with these noobs.
It's not a matter of category. I know its hard to believe and all. You old timers that haven't raced in the lower cats in 50 years sure seem to know a lot about the lower cats.
Especially waki that cat'd up in like 3 races.
