Proof that I at least took one pull in the break, and my last ditch effort to catch the front at the finish. Looks like Tim was very comfortable with his lead.
I am number 615. Thanks to HotFootPhoto for once again taking awesome photos of our races.

This is the Tuesday Night Series right? I'll be up there next month and will most likely race, do you know if these races count towards USAC upgrades? Regardless, anytime I can race somewhere not in the middle of a business park or barren desert I have to jump on it.

Just saw this thread....This was The Driveway Austin a few weeks back. I'm in the center with the black kit. As you can see by our faces, we were all pretty miserable! Hard to tell from the pic but it was pouring rain the whole race.

This was from Monday night (30+, women and novice night), Tuesday night is open to anyone, both nights racing starts just after 6pm. No USAC, you need an obra one day or annual license which are pretty cheap, and we have not played well with USAC upgrades for a long time. The odd thing is that even with such a wide open course, I still see as many crashes there as at other places. More riders as well, but having an entire raceway to ourselves doesn't make it any safer it seems.

Cool thing about Portland for bike racers is that during the summer we have 6 races during the evening on M-F to pick from. When I was younger I never trained from June-August, I would just show up to whatever race was that day. None of them are parking lot races either.

You need to work on your pedal stroke. It's kinda choppy.

hahhaha

I was thinking "Boy I must move a lot when I'm taking pictures, this isn't anything like a video."

Next time I'll do videos. People probably like them better anyway.

btw the guy in bright yellow pulling off to the left of the picture is the first break guy. There's another break guy sprinting (red BMC-like kit, on the yellow line, not the guy who got 2nd, it's a teammate of mine), and the smaller guy in pink/black is the 3rd break guy. They were caught on the hill just before the pictures start.

The guy in yellow passed the line maybe 20 seconds later? It was a while, so long that I thought he was off the back coming up the hill, not pulling off just before the line.

The guy in yellow was a major obstacle, but that goes with the territory.

We should bust gsteinb back to Cat5 and run him through the clinic.

Saw an opportunity. It's easier to follow this way, I think.
