Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Review the rules in post #1 . Also post something larger than 1.5 inches square. Not saying that'll get you a hot but.

Hot, nice to see a bike with red tape look so good. I've not seen this color scheme before. Is the saddle dirty or is it just the way the pic looks. Regardless, the only thing I kinda don't like is the saddle

The paint job on that Evo has me confused - I'm not sure if I like it a lot or if I want to burn it with fire. I like the bike in terms of set-up, proportions, build, etc, though. I think that completely getting rid of the wheel decals would help quite a bit.

Pretty hot on both bikes, but wish they were staged better to really show them off. I don't mind the gum walls at all.

This is a Not for me.

Actually love this frame and bike setup, but these look like white walls to me not gum walls?
Again to me that doesn't fit the bike. Hey, in certain instances, I think they look smoking hot. But just to throw on a new frame with no tie in at all, personally in my opinion, isn't at all attractive. Just my opinion, though.

The Evo is very hot. A black saddle would put it over the top

Thanks for the comments on the Calfee, everyone! I love it and not just the way it looks, but the way it rides as well.

As for the gumwalls - The tires are Vittoria Corsa SC cotton tubulars which are Vittoria's improved Corsa CX and only come in gumwall as far as I'm aware. Function over form in this case as the EC90's are my race specific wheelset. I run EA90 SLX tubeless for training with all black rubber.

As for the Easton cockpit, well, it's what came with the bike and while it may not look the best to some, it's great quality, I like it, and besides - for $5, I can't complain one bit. Calfee Dream Bike Promo Photoset

i give it a hot...just. first glance was too noisy. then after a few more looks, it grew on me. and for a large frame, it is good.

Nice everyday budget bike. I would be very happy riding that one. Sheesh. I like it - qualified HOT as stock, (most stock IMO are just....stock) especially like the bottle cages - set's the whole bike off. What's with the funny white bowl shaped seat bag?

Ok, WOW! That. Is. Awesome! Congrats! However, nice door and all but can you take a photo where we can actually see the most awesome 5 dollar bike on Planet Earth? I know I see the promo photo but I'd love to see the bike with your photo and with your changes that you've made so far. Just not harsh sunlight, ok?

You win for best value bike on this site. Both in cost and in ride quality…
