Tinkoff Saxo has yellow jerseys in the TDF?
Watching the TDF and see that the Tinkoff Saxo team has yellow and blue (mostly yellow) jerseys. Doesn't that seem a little strange given the overall leader of the race is supposed to wear yellow?

It's more annoying that so many team kits look the same. Especially all of these green/lime green/chartreuse kits that are so fashionable now. This color is also too vivid on TV. Everyone is either lime green or some combination of black, white, and blue... I can't tell some teams apart.
I am a little surprised they allowed Tinkoff to have so much yellow though.

Give credit to AG2R MONDIALE, their kits may not be the prettiest, but at least they are consistent and stand out.

The Tinkoff kit is more fluorescent green than yellow for the tour. They changed the color specifically for the tour.

And you can't be sure if you're looking at Sagan or one of his teammates.
I used to like that ONCE would switch to pink jerseys for the tour.

Tinkoff is doing some mind games. Yellow bikes, kits, helmets etc. Basically telling the rest of the teams we are already in Yellow and plan to be in Paris. Too bad Alberto is already over 2 minutes behind. That's a lot of time to try and make up.

When I first saw the Saxo kit early this yr I thought they would have to change it for the TdF. I was surprised when I turned on Stage 1 and saw they had not. I don't think it looks bad, but it's too yellow for the TdF
I agree that some of the colors are pretty obnoxious, and yes to the can't tell C-dale from the green jersey. Personally I don't spend the $$ for team kit, but if I did there aren't many in there that I'd consider.

I like the neon/flourisent colors and think the race leader jersey's should all be glowing so they could be picked out of the crowd at a distance.

I should mention that I'm watching in hi-def, and that makes it very easy to tell Tinkoff apart from the other two, maybe.

Even with the pre-race change, I think the Saxo jersey still looks a bit like the MJ on my also-HD feed. I can tell them apart, but it sometimes takes a 2nd glance.

Nibali's teal or whatever that color is shorts give him away for me. I can not really tell Sagan from his teammates, but he has more green geegaws (sunglass frames, helmet).

You have to remember where Sagan will be, he'll usually be behind/protected by his team...look for a group of green riders, are they belkin or cannondale, if they're cannondale, look at the guy two-three back from the lead, its probably Peter.

I find there's enough black and white on the Belkin jerseys that I can tell them apart from the others. Cannondale's green is a slightly different shade from the Belkin green, but their jersey is almost all green, so when Sagan is wearing the points jersey, he looks a lot like his teammates.

Yesterday Sagan was wearing a helmet that was primarily black, so he was a lot easier to pick out.

Some of you folk are either color blind or are watching on an old cathode ray tube set. Others are getting down to reasonable issues.
I've got my problems, too. I'm not so good at picking out green jersey Sagan from all the other green jerseys, and I was downright confused on a recent race (TdS?) when the leader jersey was red and sponsored by Lotto, and looked too much like all the other Lotto jerseys.
The TdF Tinkoff kit is not quite Farnessi-Vini gaudy, but it is distinct from their team kit earlier in the year and from the maillot jaune.
There are plenty of mostly black kit teams around now (OPQS, Giant-Shimano, Trek, and Sky to a lesser degree). Fortunately their geometric differences are more blatant than those within the green brigade (Cannondale, Belkin, and semi Europcar).
There are only so many colors to go around. It's a different place without a little orange.

Yeah, I agree the kits this Tour look pretty homogenous. I miss the days of T-mobil's hot pink, Radobank's orange, etc.
Favorite kit of all time was the Mondrian-inspired La Vie Claire/Look kit.

Do they have Orange Julius in the malls any more? A chance to get some refreshment from a young, fashion oppressed waitress and reminisce about the old La Vie Claire days.
