Extra long (230 mm) light stoker stems

I am doing a weight reduction exercise for our Ibis tandem.

Lots of progress (wheels were a big saving) but I have run into a brick wall on lightening stoker stems.

We use an adjustable stoker stem set at 240 mm C2C. The stem must weigh over 400g and so there is an attraction in a carbon one.

I could take out a new mortgage and get one custom made by Calfee - but does anyone know of any one who does fixed or adjustable stoker stems of this sort of length?

Davinci does a titanium @ 200mm but I am then left with no way of bridging the 40 mm gap?

Thoughts?

Tony

I seem to recall that somewhere in that thread someone posted a link to a shop that makes custom ti stoker stems. I'm not going to dig it out, but the OP might want to look about 3/4 of the way in.

Thanks for this - I had initially tried a search on the forum posts but didn't come up with anything - this is brilliant.

daVinci is also now doing Ti stems. Published max avail is 200mm, but you should phone Todd and ask if they would one-off a 230mm for you. Price looks reasonable for a Ti stem.
