Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

None, just add the item to your cart and if it's eligible, the discount will show up during check out.

Nashbar.com has 21% off one item, and Vuelta wheelsets are on sale too. You can get the well regarded Vuelta Corsa Lites for only ~$180 shipped (+tax)! That's an absolute steal for these wheels. This is the new 11-sp compatible set too with understated graphics (compared to the loud red/white graphics on the previous version I own). Several people in my local club have these, including myself, and have put thousands of miles on them without issue (I'm at ~5k miles).

I'm guessing there's no getting around the additional shipping costs?

if any of you live near a Bikestreet USA store (that hasn't already shuttered) then you can get some good deals on what is left. The Columbia store is selling everything at cost + 15%. I suspect that % will go down as their supplies dwindle and the inevitable date approaches.

Should I purchase a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine now? Or do you think it will be worth it at this point to wait for a possible black Friday deal?

$349 for the Road Machine 2.0, and $309 for the reg Road Machine. Those were the cheapest I could find new online.

32-hole Shimano/SRAM PowerTap G3 Hub at Competitive Cyclist:

CycleOps Powertap G3 Wireless Hub | Competitive Cyclist

The price is $519.99 and I got free shipping plus $50 in store credit with the purchase, for a net cost of $469.99.

Despite what the webpage seems to indicate, the hub I received included the black, 11 speed-compatible freehub body rather than the silver 10 speed-only freehub pictured. The graphics on the hub body are as pictured on the webpage; not the newer "gray stripe" graphics. Weight of the hub I received was 339g. The 11 speed freehub includes the spacer necessary to install a 10-speed cassette, BTW.

How's the review on this pair? Are they stiff and good for climbing?

I don't know, I'll find out this weekend. I have seen a pair in person and they look fine, I know they use Azonic labeled Novatech hubs with Enzo bearings. For what I paid and what they weigh I'll roll the dice, but they should be fine. FYI they only accept Ultegra and Dura Ace 10 speed cassettes with the freehub that's on it.

SierraTradingPost.com has a 40% off coupon SAF101614 that expires at midnight tonight. Lots of great deals on Pearl Izumi (most already marked down 30-50%) and other biking products, especially clothing that has already been marked down 30% or more. Lots of great $80 retail padded shorts that come down to $30-38 after coupon. Canari, Pearl Izumi, Craft, others.

Performance Bike 20% off wheel, tires, saddles. Today only. For those who like Continental Grand Prix 4000S II 700c Road Tire they are normally 69.99 on sale for 62.99 plus another 20% off today only. You can get two tires for just a little over $100.00. Seems like a good deal.

How does that work coming to the United States. It there an exchange rate or is this price the US price?

That's the US price. They do free shipping for $81 orders so I'm assuming it's based on a flat about of their currency and that's what it translates to in USD. I added a really cheap item just to get free shipping. Got my order in about 5 business days. Not bad unless you're used to Amazon Prime 2 day shipping!

Catlike Whisper helmets on sale at Competitive Cyclist. I got one for $135. I've wanted one since I tried it on at a bike shop when they came out but didn't want to fork over $240 for one, especially since I'd just recently bought a Giro.
