Howdy folks. First new thread from me in a while ( i think). I just moved, and I'll be moving again in the spring. Anyway, i've been thinking about decorating my house (and bike shack). With vintage bike related artwork. Post up what you have, what you want, what you like. It can be new or it can be old, just as long as the content is vintage bike related.
I'll share too, when i get home. But I'd like to see what you have too.
Oh, I did a search and nothing popped out, but if you want to tell me this has been done already and link to other threads, that won't hurt my feelings a bit.

Not vintage but certainly vintage inspired. Limited edition works on paper with proceeds going to local bike organizations: Artcrank S.F. 2014.

Alright. I'll post the obvious. I actually have a mini version (about 9 inches tall) on a shelf in my office. https://www.uncommongoods.com/product...heel-sculpture

Boccioni, Feininger, Duchamp; We're starting to piece together an art history of the first half of the twentieth century!
It's great to see all those pieces, posted by djkashuba, done by contemporary artists.
Lamplight, your work is gorgeous!
I love these tangential threads!

Can we beg you to make these available in some format? These are out of this world great! Amazing! Wonderful! Desirable...maybe, in some cases, even more than some of my bikes!!!!!!

Thank you! I was planning to have a print made of this, probably about 17-18 inches wide (plus I want my photolab to rescan it for me because they have a much better scanner). I can post again when I find out how much a print like that would be. If I were to guess I'd say probably $20-30. But once they've scanned it I could print it in smaller sizes, too, which would be much cheaper. I'd like to also draw some classic racing bikes, but so far I've only done randonneur bikes, mostly because of the fenders, racks, and other little details that add to the picture.

I think you might be surprised how many of us would like one.
Do you take requests?

Thanks for the encouragement!
I could take requests, as long as lots of good photos were available for the bike. The only problem with taking requests is if I got a LOT of requests, because one drawing takes me quite a while to complete and my time is limited. That Rene Herse took me several weeks of drawing in my spare time!

And don't forget the old story about Picasso. A lady came up to him and asked for a sketch. He obliged, made a sketch, signed it, handed to her and asked for $50,000. She was aghast. It only took 2 minutes to make that drawing, how dare he, she said. Picasso replied, no, it took me a lifetime to make that drawing.
Don't underestimate your experience or skill.

Tremendous colour and energy in that one. I must say I haven't heard too much of Feininger before, but you had me do a nice evening of googling and reading. His bauhaus connection is interesting too. On Bauhaus and bikes: Marcel Breuer let himself be inspired by his bicycle's handlebars, hired a local plumber to do the brazing and came up with a few chair designs. The Wassily chair is probably the most famous:
