I personally hate having a slippery saddle even on my motorcycles sliding around when you don't want to really makes for bad control.

Brooks' venerable "Proofide" saddle treatment has a significant amount of beeswax content. And "SnoSeal" leather treatment is essentially beeswax in a volatile carrier. Petroleum based products tend to soften leather significantly, but the saddle in the OP's picture appears to have a plastic base which wouldn't necessarily suffer from increased softness.

The first time you brake hard you will realize that maybe waxing the saddle was not such a great idea... Magic erasers work great for light colored saddles, BTW.

I've never used anything on a vinyl saddle other than a microfiber cloth dampened with some very dilute Dawn dish soap, followed by a rinse with clear water. I wax my frames a couple of times a year but would never apply it to a saddle.

I wax (bare crabon). I want the chamois to slide against the saddle not my skin. No control problems.

Son of a g u n protectant works better than Armor All to keep your saddle slippery and shiny.
