since some of you are posting your torture chambers and man cave's, here are mine. Some of these pictures are pretty old, as I've added some new stuff. The one with the bike is current. These rooms are opposite to each other, so the TV is sitting on the same wall as my Projection screen. My theater runs 30x26 and my "play area" for the kids run 25x20.
158" 2.35:1 Widescreen.

So, which is it? Doctor... Lawyer... Engineer... Union Organizer... Mega-Church Pastor... American Idol Winner...?

I just recently began re-imagining my basement home office into more of a man cave like space thanks to inspiration from a couple Bike Forums Threads. I've had one bicycle or another hanging in the office for years. I have even setup a trainer in the office before... but mostly used the trainer in the garage.
Just the other day I disassembled/removed the desk. Without the desk I now easily have room for the trainer as well as a couple cooling fans.
I organized some older entertainment equipment along with a recent PC onto a shelving unit. Everything works now. But I have plans (and space) to replace the TV and PC monitor with a large screen TV (for both TV and PC). This will allow me to watch training videos via DVD, or through the Roku or PC via streaming YouTube (or download). Or maybe... even virtually train through the PC.
Where before I had one bicycle hanging on a wall hanger I will instead use a gravity stand that will allow me to hang two bikes in the same space.
Looking back at some of these pics.... I had realized that maybe I could post Home Theater pics here.

My torture chamber is the bike paths and bike lanes I ride on with tons of joggers/walkers and long dog leashes. It is still fun.

It's not a water bottle. It is the air tank of AirZound horn. The pipe is connected to horn unit you can see attached on the handlebar. You need that much of horn sound when you ride in traffic or no one notices you. With this they think you are a truck or something until they see you.

I know of three different people who have damaged their carbon frames by locking in to a stationary trainer.
You know how a bike leans side to side when you sprint? The bike will try to do that in the trainer but since it's locked in place, the stays will have to flex to absorb the energy.
I'm not saying it's gonna happen, but I do know three people who it happened to and I don't know a lot of cyclists.

Not trying to derail or get off topic, but I do feel like I should warn you..

let me say this, as an engineer with experience in composites, who no longer rides a carbon frame, but used to: carbon fiber frames are fine in a trainer. Hundreds of thousands of cyclists with carbon frames use them in trainers with no issue.
Putting my own anecdote into this, when I had my Scott Addict, I'd routinely put in 1,500+ Watt sprints locked into a Fluid2, and it took getting hit by a truck to compromise that frame. Keep in mind that the Scott Addict used to be one of the lightest frame sets on the market. I know a lot of cyclists, and most cannot put that power to the wheel (and I no longer can either).

I am, and I get annoyed with fear mongering surrounding carbon fiber.
I'm done with being off topic. Ride more, worry less.
