Tire/Tube Protruding Further Out
I swapped my front tire to the back. I noticed it protrudes further out than the new one I have on the front. I put a new tube in it. Is this bad tube or tire? It's not touching the brake calipers, but it rubs under that brake area. It's a tight clearance. I run 700x23. I can lower the pressure where it won't rub, but this is not optimal.

it's a worn tire. they stretch more than a new tire. compare a new pair of levi's to your old one's of the same size. might try putting the new tire on the back. they all wear out eventually.

No comments about he possibility of a poor seating of the tire? A tire that doesn't fully and consistently overlap the rim (seat properly) can bulge out more in one spot then another. there are a few reasons why a tire might not fully seat.
A tire that has stretched casing cords or broken cords so the other, good but now overloaded, cords nearby can't maintain the consistent profile of the tire is another possibility.
A rim circumference difference of only a couple MMs can make a big difference in how tight a tire fits too. Andy.
