4/4 - Seven miles to run a few errands. I need to put in a request at the local Walgreens to put in a bike rack. The store is only .75 miles from here, but I rarely go there because it's hard to find a good place to lock up.

I would have liked to cycle 3 days out of 3, but we've been travelling ... mostly by boat.

A friend and I did 40+ miles of roller hills today. Beautiful weather. Two old school touring bikes. I'm so tired right now thinking I may have to take tomorrow off!!

#5 today - 15 miles along the Greenline just for fun.

It's weird. The light posts are all in the middle of the parking lot and are elevated on concrete pillars about three feet high and maybe 18" in diameter. It's really hard to lock to them. The only sign post is out by the road.

They do say it doesn't matter how long the ride is.

Yeah, but it does make the "commitment" seem pretty light.

Anyway, today 6:6. I went in to work even though it is a holiday, to catch up on some backlogged paperwork, but so far I've done more routine housekeeping chores like clearing and/or sorting old emails.

#6 on 4/6 - 12 mile round trip commute. I worked at home this morning to wait out a thunderstorm. I love riding in the immediate aftermath of a storm, especially when the trees are in bloom. The delicate white and pink flowers are set off against the deeply saturated greens and browns of the grass and bark. Lovely.

7:7 Took a detour on my commute home through the forest and got chased by a sow with piglets for a bit. Free sprint training.

Total for April 237miles.

Heck yeah I'm in! The only thing that has ever caused me to miss a day on the bike has been sickness.

Day 8 - My usual 12 mile r/t commute. One of the things I love about riding my bike is how much easier I find it to be fully present to my surroundings than when I am in a car. Today the dogwoods are in bloom and the park smelled of freshly mowed grass and newly laid mulch.

Day 10 ... has started with walking, and more walking planned for the middle of the day, so we'll see how it goes.

Light rain, not much of a hindrance to commuting. Rode to and from work (22 km), and also a 6 km round trip to our other job site for a midday meeting.

Supposed to be more stormy tomorrow, and if I do take the bus to work, I will have to do the brief evening "cheater" ride like last weekend to keep the streak alive.
