How many miles do you oldsters put on strava a year? So far I'm a little over 3000 this year. 51 yr old and still going (relatively) strong.

Did a 24 mi. ride with my gf today. Used the segments as intervals and really soft pedaled the rest. Got a PB on a sprint at our town green. This was only my second time with that segment. The first time was two days ago with some headwinds but managed 21.8 mph. Today, no headwinds but I have to ride on the hoods 'cause my fused neck doesn't allow a lot of time in the drops. Still I upped my result to 24.1 mph and I am pumped. Now I'm really addicted.

Last year I posted about the 54-56yr old female that clobbered ALL us guys on a segment. Turns out she is pro MTB or close to it. Gave me hope.

I don't do Stava but good luck this winter OldsCOOL. I try to do some winter riding of my own on a Kona cross bike ("jake the snake" model!) with metal studded tires.

My gf has a Jake the Snake w/Ultegra. That's a nice bike. I just bought a Colnago World Cup and am loving it.

If you want to watch some un-catchable kid, Christopher Evans lives on the west side of Flint, where it's also pretty flat.
Right now I'm at 2,476 which is strictly outdoor miles... I don't include my indoor training time...

There was a 50+ Strava club a few years past, Dudelsack set up one that had a few riders following and participating in for a while. Good job on setting up the new 50+ Group, though. Don't scare all those young-uns away.

After my bypass surgery almost 3 years ago, I started the "Cardiac Cycling Club International" on Strava. We have 37 members from all over the world. One of our members from Mumbai just competed in the "Race to the Top of World" cycling well over 15,000 ft altitude. Very inspiring!

Not to steal your thread, but the Kona jake is fairly lightweight and versatile. With cross tires it can do some moderate trails, with the metal studs I ride on snow (not too deep) and ice on the winter roads, and with 28-30mm commuter tires it can even be a road bike of sorts.

Once or twice a week I turn on Strava so I can watch my progress, I don't do many miles but the miles I do In the single tracks are for me very Intense.
Without knowing where and how I ride no one would find my rides worth a second look. And due to my low mile count (5-15) on the mountain bike and
(15-25) on my recumbent I don't compare my miles to others. I only race myself
I follow one really fast cross country mountain biker who wins pretty much every race in Central Florida he enters,,25 year old legs~n~lugs,,,I remember those days,,sigh~
I follow him so I can retrace his practice/workout routes that are mostly designed by his coach as they are great workouts even though I cannot complete them on some days..
As an example, he Is the current king of the hill on the Boyette Ridgeline single track, he completed this trail In 6:21,, took me 29 plus minutes and wore me out.
