My suggestion? Have someone make you a 1/2 bugnet. Then you have an open "garage" for gear, cooking, and the bike plus a bugnet interior for you to sleep in. If it sleeps four, then the half-bugnet should sleep two!
I'm likely to keep the bug net for family trips, it has a solid, thick bottom (good for the kids...)
But, I think I'm going to try and sew up a skirt that I can velcro or attach to the sides. This will hang down and lay on the ground, with enough overlap to tuck under a ground cloth.

4 adults would be tight, but workable.
2 adults and 2 kids works well.
I had 1 adult and 3 kids + gear in it over the summer. That was fun.

The mid alone will get a winter test this year - fatbike or skis. Maybe both.

When I was a mediocre racer. Back in the days of lace-up bicycle shoes. I trimmed down my shoelaces.

Go my son ans sin no more!!

May you travel with the lightness.
