Interested to see what kind of cadence you're working to manage 172.5mph.

bleh, your right... should be 2.875 minutes per mile. I took elapsed time and divided by the miles.

She absolutely loves it! It's much lighter than her Redline--I paid a bit more than the $30 her Redline cost a swap meet, but not much more

Now, to teach her...
Back in my BMX days, the PK Ripper was the bike to have! Love those! Way cooler than any Redline.

That bike looks kewl, ideal for a 7-year-old! I pity those poor little kids that have to ride cheap bikes that are heavier than my 700c bikes!

I would have killed for a PK Ripper with 3-piece cranks and Landing Gear forks when I was a kid in the mid-80's. She was so happy! Now to get her over the fear of falling... Lol

Zwift sub-2-T ride tonight at 8 p.m. ET. I plan to be there; I hope others will join us. I'm going to do my best to hang on.

So today, some 40 minutes after I got on the trainer, (it's pouring rain in SoCal, whaaaaat??) I figured out how the little control lever thing works. It actually controls the resistance. Well I'll be. Seeing as the previous 3-4 times I've used it (I've used it a grand total of 3-4 times) it's apparently been at maximum resistance. And the previous ride was 40k in 56 minutes, which I thought was pretty good. Turns out, if you turn down the resistance, you can go as fast as you want! Today was 35 miles in 82 minutes (25.5mph) at an avg. HR of 120-- that's Z1!

But even with The Martian playing on BluRay, the trainer is still soooo boring.

LOL!!

But wait, at least they're turning cranks... My bikes are sitting pretty in this rain . I need to "HTFU" and at least get the Auger out (with its fat tires and disc brakes). No excuse, having that one.

Say, your new endeavor wouldn't be buying bikes and staring at them, would it?

The rain has definitely kept me off my bike too. I just don't want to have to clean it.

Well due to commuting over two hours each way to work (ice on roads), and being plugged into the game of Cowboys and Feds going on in SE Oregon (Harney and Malheur Counties), I haven't been on the bike since Sunday afternoon.

oh but Monday I start a new Dam job (Mc Nary Dam) that only has me driving 25 miles each way for a commute instead of 90 miles each way for a commute.

It is a $9000.00 per annum pay cut, but after savings in fuel it will only be a $7000.00 pay cut..... but the benefit is more time to ride, more time with my family, less stress, and more potential for promotion. Besides the VA is in the news in a negative light way more than they should and that is where I currently work (VA in Walla Walla).

Won't fit on the Shield for my Giro "Air Attack" helmet (no ear pieces).... and probably won't pair with my CatEye "Stealth 50) bike computer.

That's what I said the other day when at home my pants fell down.....My youngest son said "Mommy, Daddy's pants fell off".

I have lost enough weight and mass that I have to keep my belt cinched up, but not enough to comfortably wear the next waist size down on the jeans.
