Gonna go with this as my favorite of the bunch- that's a seriously classy mix of old and new(er). I know a lot of the more modern bikes are a blast to ride (and nicer than anything I own) but I can't get over some of the tossed-on parts (like the Oval seatpost on the other Merckx).

It's true, it's all pretty similar. I've just spent a lot of time around Fuji/Oval/ASI stuff and have trouble seeing it as anything other than OEM junk (though often very nice OEM junk that shares tech with fancy name brand parts. Ritchey seatposts for instance).

I use it to commute and cruise around the neighborhood when I want to relax. It's heavy but it's built like a tank and is very comfortable and I love the contrast to the aggressive CAAD. I was going for that opposite characteristics to complement each other and that's part of the reason why the reflectors are still on if that even makes any sense . I was going to upgrade the parts but like you said I couldn't find a good reason to do so for my particular purpose. As for the CAAD I do think the murdered out black look is getting tired. I wish I had the blue frame to pair with my red Schwinn. Then it would be perfect.

Love the paintjob. Don't like the flipped up stem though

At first I thought they were two different bikes seeing that you have two Fujis. Are you comfortable with that new saddle angle?
