Suggestions for a new winter bike?
Winter is just coming to a close here in Portland, and I'm thinking about building a new bike for next winter. My girlfriend got a new Jake the Snake, and it's made a great winter bike for her, and I've thought about getting one for me. I'm currently riding a Ridley Fenix in the winter, but keeping fenders on it is a pain and with fenders it only takes 23mm tires.
Requirements for my new winter bike:
Aluminum or Carbon
DI2 compatible (I already have the groupset, so I don't want to go wireless for this project)
Easily accommodate 28mm tires with fenders
Disc brakes
Fender mounts front and rear (I'm tired of rigging fenders to work on my Ridley)
English threaded bottom bracket
I'm leaning towards a Jake the Snake because of my girlfriends's great experience, but I'd like to hear from this group other ideas before I move forward. Also, I've not confirmed that the alum JTS is DI2 compatible. That's next on my to do list.
