Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Di2, for some meaning of `cool'. It's different from mechanical, sure, but not really enough to drive home any form of point within the first couple of hours of riding. But, boy, towards the end of brevets ... :-)

That belongs to Aka_ricerocket. He posts in the Single Speed forum once in a while.

A little bit different iteration of the same bike...
Its a Trek District Carbon, belt drive, based off the Madone 5 frame. Weighs 12lbs.

I have a bit of a problem.

I sometimes buy unique Campagnolo parts or tools, thinking that I might use them for a build in the future.

I like these best.

If you ever ride those, replace the blue nuts with generics, and put the blue ones in a box. Otherwise, the blue "gem" will fall off while riding, never to be seen again.

Also, be careful not to lose the little metal "bridge" inside the lever, required if you want aero cable routing instead of old-school out the top routing.

For function, my dynohub + B&M lights on my commuter. 10 out of 10.
For looks, my lugged steel Pinarello.

Thanks.

I was aware of the gem issue, but I have my doubts about ever using these brakes.I received them 10 years ago, as motivation for a period correct bike. Since then I've only purchased a C-Record crankset.

pretty fond of my DA C24s...

liked the 7900s more than the 9000s tho...the color of the hubs exactly matched the Ti frame on my bike...was much nicer than the black.

Okay now this is cool. Looking at these ZIPP 303 NSW clincher rims. You can literally take off and put on the tire with no jack, just pull it off and on with your bare hands. And They Stay on!!!!

Probably the Garmin 810 I got on a good deal back in April

Tracks all the rides, dumps it effortlessly to Connect, which I also now use to track swimming workouts with a Garmin swim watch, also syncs effortlessly.

I actually use the course and mapping features more then I thought I would and wonder of wonder, the unit has been very reliable.

In retrospect, worth the money.

I don't see these sold in the US? I have the Kool Stop tire jack for home use, but changing a new tire out on the road might be rough for me.
