Opinions needed for parts
I've decided to upgrade the components to 11 speed on my backup Serotta. Probably to something simple like the 5800 105. I took off all of the Dura Ace 7700 components today. They are still in great shape. How much do you think they are worth now if I sell them?

$300 if you're lucky. It was a great group.

great shape minus all the cosmetic damage to the brifters which will knock the price down. Just look at completed ebay auctions. I see several in better condition that sold for $200-300

You are not going to like the new 5800 brakes compared to the DA 7700 brakes.
You might want to consider holding on to those and getting the 5800 group in silver so you can "upgrade" the brakes back to the older calipers.

I have 2 bikes with DA 7800 and just built another using a brand new 105 5800 groupset. The new 105 works as expected but the shift quality of both the old Dura Ace bikes is just a touch more crisp and precise. The older DA groups are much more elegant looking as well and a better match for that vintage bike IMO.
As far as value, earlier this year I bought a full DA 7700 group similar to yours from a Bike Forum member for $275. Might fetch a little more on eBay which will basically be a wash with the fees.

The newer 5800 brakes are not as stiff as the older brakes and don't modulate as well. That's my complaint.
My road bike was upgraded from 5500 9-speed to 5800 11-speed last month and in terms of stopping power and modulation, going from 5500 to 5800 brakes was a downgrade. The same wheels, tires and pad make/model were used.
I also have the exact DA 7700 calipers pictured by the OP on my fixed gear bike and they are outstanding, far superior to the new 5800 brakes on my road bike.
Happy to hear that you like the Ultegra brakes. I'm going to upgrade the road bike to Ultegra or DA calipers in the near future.

105 is not silver like Athena is silver, it's more like bright grey paint compared to polished metal. It should be a handsome finish for the bike as well, though. Please post pics when built!
